I perform magic around the UK at events such as trade shows, parties and weddings, but the majority of my work is as a magician in London.
London is a great place to be a magician. There are so many venues where you can perform, as well as getting to see many other great acts.
When it comes to dinner parties and parlour entertainment, the Victorians led the way. And now with television shows like Come Dine with Me making home dining the new eating out, a parlour magician can be that special ingredient for an unforgettable evening.
BBC’s The Magicians has returned to Saturday night TV, and is a great improvement on the first series (read BBC’s The Magicians fails to amaze). The magicians and celebrity guests are better, the tricks are more amazing, and the show has a grander feel that suggests a bigger budget.
The question magicians are perhaps most often asked is ‘how did you learn to do magic?’
Magic is by its nature a clandestine art, and magicians are forbidden to reveal their tricks. The Magic Circle, the world’s most famous organisation for magicians, expels members who are found giving away magical secrets.

I was delighted that Penn & Teller’s Fool Us was returning to ITV. As I have mentioned in past blogs, I am a huge fan (read Penn & Teller at the Hammersmith Apollo).
